This two-day experience offers more time to explore the trails surrounding Sirena Station and the opportunity to observe the forest during several important periods of wildlife activity: the morning, late afternoon and early hours of the following day.
Check-in takes place at the main beach in Drake Bay at 5:50 a.m., followed by boat departure at 6:00 a.m.
The journey to Sirena Beach normally takes between one hour and one hour and thirty minutes, depending on ocean conditions. Arrival is expected between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m.
The route follows the wild Pacific coastline of the Osa Peninsula, offering views of remote beaches and rainforest extending toward the sea.
Sirena does not have a dock, so passengers should be prepared for a wet landing and may need to step into shallow water when leaving the boat.
After entering Corcovado National Park, the group begins the approximately 30-minute walk from Sirena Beach to the station. Arrival at Sirena Station is expected at around 8:00 a.m.
After leaving the overnight equipment in the designated area, the first guided hike begins at approximately 8:30 a.m.
The morning exploration continues until around 11:00 a.m., following a selection of trails through lowland rainforest, river areas, secondary forest and open habitats.
Your certified guide will search for wildlife by listening for calls, examining tracks and observing movement in the vegetation and forest canopy.
Lunch is served at approximately 11:30 a.m.
From 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., participants have time to rest during the hottest part of the day.
The afternoon hike begins at approximately 2:30 p.m. and continues until around 5:00 p.m.
The afternoon often brings changes in temperature, light and animal activity, creating new possibilities for observation before returning to the station.
Dinner is served at approximately 6:00 p.m., followed by an overnight stay in the shared sleeping facilities at Sirena Station.
The second day begins at approximately 5:00 a.m. with an early guided walk before sunrise.
This first hike continues until around 7:00 a.m., when temperatures are cooler and the forest gradually becomes active.
The early-morning exploration offers another opportunity to observe wildlife, listen to bird activity and experience Corcovado before the arrival of most day-tour groups.
Breakfast is served at approximately 7:30 a.m.
The second guided hike begins at around 8:30 a.m. and continues until approximately 10:45 a.m.
After returning to the station, participants collect their belongings and prepare for departure.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., the group begins walking from Sirena Station toward Sirena Beach.
The shared boat departs at around 12:30 p.m.
Arrival in Drake Bay is normally between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m., although the schedule may vary according to ocean conditions, weather, park regulations and operational logistics.
Over the two days, possible wildlife observations may include tapirs, four species of monkeys, anteaters, peccaries, coatis, agoutis, crocodiles, scarlet macaws, toucans and many other birds, mammals and reptiles.
Your guide will search for tracks, feeding signs, calls and movement in the forest while explaining animal behavior and the ecological relationships found within Corcovado.
Wildlife observations are never guaranteed.
Corcovado is a large natural environment where animals move freely according to weather, food availability and their own behavior. Spending the night increases the amount of time available for exploration, but every visit remains different and unpredictable.
Accommodation is provided in the station’s shared sleeping area using individual bunk beds.
Sirena offers basic facilities designed for visitors exploring a remote national park. This is not a hotel experience: sleeping areas are shared, privacy is limited and services are simple.
Bedding is provided, but visitors should travel with only the equipment necessary for one night. Large suitcases should remain at the accommodation in Drake Bay.

The price does not include hotel accommodation in Drake Bay, personal equipment, additional drinks, travel insurance or gratuities.
Participants should bring closed hiking shoes or rubber boots, sandals or water shoes for the beach landing, light clothing, rain protection, insect repellent, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, personal medication, a flashlight and waterproof protection for phones or cameras.
A small backpack is recommended. All personal belongings must be carried between Sirena Beach and the station, so unnecessary luggage should be avoided.
Food brought from outside is not permitted at Sirena. Visitors must follow the regulations established by the national park and the instructions provided by the guide.
Staying overnight provides something a one-day visit cannot fully offer: time to experience how the rainforest changes throughout the day.
The first guided hike takes place from approximately 8:30 to 11:00 a.m., the afternoon exploration runs from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m., and the following day begins with an early walk from 5:00 to 7:00 a.m.
Rather than concentrating the experience into a few hours, this tour allows visitors to explore at a more natural pace, rest inside the protected area and return to the trails during different periods of wildlife activity.
The walking terrain around Sirena is generally flat, but participants should still be comfortable hiking in tropical heat, humidity, mud and uneven forest conditions.
Advance booking is required because accommodation, entrance permits, boat transportation and guide spaces are limited.
