Travel by boat from Drake Bay to San Pedrillo Station and spend the morning exploring one of the wildest rainforest sectors of Corcovado National Park.
This full-day experience combines a scenic coastal boat ride with guided hiking through tropical forest, river areas and trails where the landscape feels more rugged and remote than in the more open surroundings of Sirena.
Check-in takes place at the main beach in Drake Bay at 5:50 a.m.
The shared boat departs at 6:00 a.m. and follows the Pacific coastline toward San Pedrillo Station.
The journey normally takes approximately 45 minutes to one hour, depending on ocean conditions, weather and operational logistics.
Arrival at San Pedrillo is expected at around 7:00 a.m.
There is no conventional dock, so passengers should be prepared for a wet landing and may need to step into shallow water when leaving the boat.
After completing the park entrance process, the guided rainforest exploration begins at approximately 7:30 a.m.
The morning hike continues until around 11:00 a.m., following a selection of trails chosen according to weather, trail conditions, recent wildlife activity and the pace of the group.
San Pedrillo protects mature rainforest, rivers, coastal habitats and forested hills. The terrain is more uneven than the trails around Sirena and may include roots, mud, stones, slopes and stream crossings.
Possible wildlife observations may include monkeys, anteaters, coatis, agoutis, peccaries, scarlet macaws, toucans, trogons, woodpeckers, reptiles and many other tropical species.
Your certified bilingual guide will search for calls, tracks, feeding signs and movement in the vegetation while explaining animal behavior, plant life and the ecological relationships found throughout the rainforest.

Corcovado is a natural and unpredictable environment where animals move freely according to weather, food availability and their own behavior. Each visit is different, and sightings depend entirely on natural conditions.
Lunch is served at approximately 11:30 a.m.
After lunch, the group has time to rest and prepare for departure.
The shared boat leaves San Pedrillo at approximately 1:00 p.m.
Arrival back in Drake Bay is expected at around 2:00 p.m., although the final schedule may vary according to ocean conditions, weather, park regulations and operational logistics.

The hiking group is limited to a maximum of 10 visitors plus the guide.
Participants should bring closed hiking shoes or rubber boots, sandals or water shoes for the beach landing, lightweight clothing, rain protection, insect repellent, sunscreen, drinking water and waterproof protection for phones or cameras.
A small backpack is recommended. Unnecessary luggage should remain at the accommodation in Drake Bay.
Food carried into the park may be restricted, so visitors must follow current regulations and the instructions provided by the guide.
