Before entering the water, the guide provides basic instructions on paddling technique, kayak control and safety.
The tour then continues through mangrove channels and calm coastal waters near Puerto Jimenez. The pace is relaxed, allowing time to observe wildlife, take photographs and learn about the ecological importance of mangroves within the Golfo Dulce region.

Transportation to and from the meeting point, additional drinks, personal equipment, travel insurance and gratuities are not included unless confirmed separately.
Participants should bring comfortable clothing that can get wet, secure sandals or water shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, sunglasses with a retaining strap and waterproof protection for phones or cameras.
A towel and a change of clothes are recommended for after the activity.
Participants are also encouraged to bring a small dry bag for valuables and electronic devices. Even when using a dry bag, phones, cameras and other sensitive equipment should have additional waterproof protection.
Only essential personal items should be taken in the kayak.
Previous kayaking experience is not necessary, but participants should have basic mobility and be comfortable paddling for periods of time.
Life jackets must be worn while on the water, and all participants must remain with the group and follow the guide’s instructions.
The route may be adjusted according to tides, wind, rain, water conditions and the experience of the participants.
The activity may be delayed, modified or cancelled if conditions are considered unsafe.
